New publication

Agostino Steffani

European Composer, Hanoverian Diplomat and Bishop in the Period of Leibniz

This is to announce the publication in April 2017 of the proceedings of the first interdisciplinary and international symposium on Agostino Steffani. The conference took place in 2014 at the Herrenhausen palace in Hanover and was the first event to have been organised by the FORUM AGOSTINO STEFFANI (FAS). 19 of the papers that were delivered have been revised by their authors and can now be read by the public. Since the conference was conducted in German and English, the book contains essays in both languages; however, each essay in German is accompanied by an abstract in English, and vice versa.
The book can now be ordered at an attractive pre-publication price.

Appeal for donations
A substantial portion of the cost of publication is being borne by the Handel Institute in London and by individual donors, who have contributed a considerable sum. Nevertheless, further funds have still to be raised. If you would like to make a contribution, please contact us here. Gifts of 100 Euros or more will be acknowledged in the book by the inclusion of the donor’s name (if desired).
